Alexa, why does my hand shake when I drink a glass of water?

When you or your loved one has been diagnosed with an illness, multiple questions begin to run through your mind. What exactly does my diagnosis mean? What treatments are available? What should I expect during the treatment? Are there treatment centers near me?

While searching the internet for answers to these questions and many more, aren’t there times you wish you could pick up the phone and speak to someone directly instead of asking Alexa? INSIGHTEC, an innovative, forward-thinking company established Tremor Program Services for that precise purpose. Tremor Program Services is designed to increase awareness and provide education to patients and caregivers on essential tremor and FDA-approved treatment options, with a focus on Neuravive. Neuravive is an incisionless treatment performed using the FDA-approved Exablate Neuro focused ultrasound device.

Throughout the next several months, we’ll be introducing you to the team here at INSIGHTEC. First up is Lisett.

Lisett, one of our Health Educators at INSIGHTEC, was born in Cuba and moved to the United States as a 10-year-old. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Education was of upmost importance for Lisett so she pursued a degree in Health Services and Administration as well as a certificate in pharmaceutical education. These degrees enabled her to enter the healthcare field.

Lisett’s passion is helping others. Thus, she finds the opportunity to educate a candidate on the Neuravive treatment extremely fulfilling. “I greatly enjoy the one on one contact with patients. Having the ability to answer their questions, explain the treatment options for essential tremor and introduce them to Neuravive is personally very gratifying.” The educators can help connect prospective patients with treatment centers offering Neuravive, where a treating physician can determine the patient’s candidacy for treatment.

During her free time, Lisett enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, biking and paddle boarding. She also loves to play racquetball and working out. She is the proud owner of four dogs: a Shih Tzu, a Labrador, a Peruvian Inca Orchid and a Maltese. In addition, she loves to cook – Cuban and Italian are her specialties.

What drew Lisett to INSIGHTEC was its “cutting-edge technology that is helping physicians expand their portfolio by offering their patients an incisionless treatment option for essential tremor.”

Do you have questions or comments for Lisett on essential tremor, treatment options and/or Neuravive? Reach out to her by filling out this form and she will get in touch with you.

Stay tuned for next month to meet Yasmina, a Tremor Program Services Health Educator from New York.
