Essential Tremor Facebook Groups: Building Communities

Naturally there are many types of people on Facebook with a myriad of passions and interests. A Facebook Group helps facilitate people with similar shared interests to learn and grow together as members.

The International Essential Tremor Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing hope for the essential tremor community through awareness, education, support and research. You can join over 13,000 members sharing personal stories of life with ET, get updated on news and access podcasts and more.

In the Movers and Shakers Group, one woman is trying to get the word out about ET by sharing information and videos. You can read stories about people living with ET, treatment options as well as recommendations for caregivers.

The Essential Tremor Support Group provides insights into potential treatments, both science-based medicine and alternative remedies. There are articles that highlight how you can learn about the benefits and drawbacks of treatments from the point of view of a person living ET.

In the HopeNet Group, you can find information about treatment options as well as early-stage research and how it may impact potential treatments in the future. HopeNet is dedicated to spreading awareness for ET and shares news and information for the ET community.

The National Tremor Foundation is an organization that aims to provide help, support, and advice to those living with tremor and is active in the UK. You can join their meetups, a recent gentle chair yoga session, or access their newsletter.

Facebook Groups on ET have a common objective to help people living with ET live their lives to the fullest by providing a digital space to share with one another and learn from each other.
